About Me – Taline (‘Coach T’)

With a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from UCLA and a career as an attorney, I bring a unique blend of analytical rigor and real-world problem-solving to my work as an education coach. My 25 years of experience began back in high school, when I discovered how much I enjoyed helping classmates. Since then, I’ve been guiding students of all levels to build confidence, improve grades, and find joy in math. I specialize in guiding middle and high school students through all math classes, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus, as well as supporting learners in standardized tests.

Coaching & Mentorship

Beyond academics, I bring a passion for coaching and mentorship. I have coached basketball and volleyball teams for both boys and girls, and I have guided young professionals through leadership programs in the legal field. I approach tutoring with the same philosophy: empowering students to reach their potential and develop skills to help them grow academically, personally, and in confidence.

Outside the Classroom

Beyond academics, I enjoy the outdoors (mountain biking, hiking), exploring new places, and woodworking projects with my husband — all of which fuel my belief in learning as an engaging, challenging, and lifelong process.

My Goal

Ultimately, my goal is to help students gain confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and discover that math can be both understandable and empowering.
